Alaric, it is not 100% clear to me what you are conveying here. Christ is not the afterimage of God, Christ is God. At some level this smacks of mysticism which is why I am asking for clarity. Mankind was created in the image of God but is a real entity or being which God created. Christians are not an after image we are presently in the image of Christ, restored by His imputed righteousness to the image of God. Man separated from God by Adam's rebellion and pride is not presently in His image or likeness in the truest sense of the word. We are redeemed to His image yet we are becoming like Him. In His sight we are restored and in our sight we have a ways to go. I like His sight better but I live seeing my sight. I understand Paul and His discussion on that subject. Why confuse new Christians?
