The Spirit and the Bride say , " Come " .
Let everyone who listens answer , " Come " .
" Amen . Come , Lord Jesus " . ( Rev. 22 ) .
Maranatha , Come Lord .
Lord Jesus , at this time our liturgy leads us to Your second coming , Your advent in glory .
We are urged to long for , to plea for , to cry to You , " Come Lord . Maranatha " .
Lord , You came in history , and continue to come in mystery , and will finally come in majesty . So we pray , " Come Lord . Maranatha " .
In this holy season we are yearning , calling to You , Lord , to come . Come and heal all divisions , set all things right , banish evil , establish justice as only You can . Come Lord . Maranatha .
May the longings of the ancient prophets stir our hearts to look forward to the day when You shall come and lift away the veil of time . Come Lord . Maranatha .
May we pray earnestly for Your advent on the last day when You will end history and time , destroying the veil of time , and show forth the beginning and fulfillment of all in Yourself . Come Lord . Maranatha .
We wait , Lord . We wait for Your coming . Our life is spent waiting in our human condition of constantly unsatisfied desire . May this waiting not let us grow impatient , settling for false hopes . If we want to face reality with true joy , our goal , the aim of our hopes must be outside time , in You the Alpha and the Omega . So again we ask You with urgency and fervour to Come Lord . Maranatha .
May the eternal , ever-present "now" of Your veiled glory within us , daily nourish us in sacrament , in Word , in prayer , in neighbour , until You come to remove the veil and present us to Your and our Father in His realm of glory . Come Lord . Maranatha .
Lord , we yearn , and may we constantly yearn . May we never stifle our desires and longings . Rather , under the breath of the Holy Spirit may they be stirred , making us desire passionately the fulfillment of all in You . Come Lord . Maranatha .
May the patient one , the one who waited as she bore You in her womb , Mary our mother whose "Fiat" graced the world with Your presence as You entered history at Your first coming , obtain for us the grace to keep Advent with faith , with love , with hope . Come Lord . Marathana .
Mary , mother , pray for us that with all the vigour of our being we shall desire your Son's coming to gather all things into His love and power , finally establishing His Kingdom . May it be said that there are none so passionate and none so patient as your children . Mary , may we join you as you cry , " Come Lord . Maranatha " .
