Did anyone watch the acadamy awards? I thought the Phantom movie should have won the oscar for best art, I mean the desighns are so amazing! Andrew Lloyd Webber also was there and played his new Phantom song at the awards.

Um..Its called Learn to Be Lonley. Its on the movie soundtrack.

I doubt it...
I personally do not like that song...I mean when him and Tim Rice wrote "You Must Love Me" for Evita--it was intergrated into the movie--and it had to be one of the most beautiful Webber songs recently. (Madonna didn't do the song justice,though) but "Learn to be Lonely" is just filler for the end credits of the movie. I personally would have love to seen a pop-reindition of "All I Ask of you" or "Music of the Night" or something like that. The Song just doesn't sound crafted like most Webber songs. I was dissapointed-and I usually just skip that song...

This song thought it was going to win the oscar, that's why Weber wrote it, but Drexler sure showed him, and Cates for not putting him the ceremony!!!!
