  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Just a hunch, but I think sometimes musicians spend time with their craft that spouses think would be better spent with them. I know one instance where a country musician always put his career first and wife second. I always said she ended up playing second fiddle to a pedal steel guitar.:sorry:

To be honest - and I'm sorry this isn't what you want to hear - I think framing it in terms of "supporting you" is probably not helping you.

People should go to church because they want to worship God and contribute to the community. Expecting your spouse to bypass those two things and be there to support you kind of misses the point of church.

If you're not feeling supported by him, in life in general, that's something you need to talk about and work towards. But if it's just church, I personally would leave him to come or not come, not make it about supporting or pleasing you. (Says me, and my husband and I belong to different churches; so take that for what it's worth).
