Howdy, all.
I need a few more posts so I can get glasses for my cute little dude on the side there.
As I'm sure some of you may have noticed; I am an atheist. However, I enjoy talking with Christians because I feel the difference of opinion can lead to enlightening discussions. I am very analytical and love to put new information together.
In many of these cases I seek out people who believe oppositely of me on a matter I feel strongly about and spar with them. This can sometimes make me come off as argumentative, but in truth I just love the thrill of a good debate. That said, I try to always remain respectful and I talk and think very seriously (use of irony aside).
Furthermore, I love learning about all the different kinds of Christians there are out there and what they believe. I am not merely referring to the creeds of the different denominations, but also the different individualistic philosophies formed by each specific person. I find that this helps to alleviate a lot of the anti-Christian prejudice that can build up among non-Christians. Because some members of Christianity view us with despise, many of us over-generalize and assume all Christians are against us and are therefore the enemy.
I generally find this to be an utterly foolish assumption.
