This is the interview with John Volanthen, who with Rick Stanton found the trapped boys in the Thai caves, and led their rescue. They are very modest, as is Richard Harris, the Australian doctor.
Interview was with BBC Points West, the local BBC news.
Quote:
The only interview with the man who led the cave rescue in Thailand. John Volanthen is a quiet, no-nonsense guy who does not blow his own trumpet. But he and Rick Stanton not only found the trapped children, but carried most of them out the first very challenging part of the escape route. John turned down offers of large sums of money to speak to the BBC, for nothing. We can only wish such qualities were more commonplace. /quote end/
(Aztex West, where John Volanthen works, is a Business Park to the north of Bristol, England, and Long Aston is a village on the edge of Bristol)
