Text too wide for my browser.

The page format is too wide for my browser. I have to scroll back and forth to read posts. Will this be corrected?

Is this happening on every page you visit?

The reason I ask is because some people have HTML characters in their Titles (such as a string of "&amp") which display as text instead of HTML. These can be quite long, and that's the only thing that's caused me to get a horizontal scrollbar.

for the width of the display, i will try to manage a change in the design to make it fluid, so it will fit if you have a smaller monitor...

for the html characters, this will be changed in no long, just have a tweak in the code...

The messages are too wide for my browser now. I was not having this problem earlier today. Now I have to scroll horizontally to read posts everywhere on CF.

I am also having this problem. Some representative of TPTB implied in the first (now closed) "Welcome to CF2" thread that the issue involved ad placement, and that it had been fixed. But whatever is the problem, it has NOT been fixed. I am encountering the problem on every page. Some I have to scroll only about half an inch, some 2-3 inches.

In past 20-minutes, the scrolling has increased, such that now the writing is, I am not joking: --> 3-full screens wide <---

For some people the problem seems to have been solved by removing the excessive "blessings," but not for me.

However, I notice in sk8Joyful's post above, the long number does seem to be stretching this page. Under the old software, a single long "word" or an oversized graphic in someone's signature would stretch only that post. The other posts in the thread would remain normal sized. Under the new software, anything extra-wide in any post seems to stretch the whole page.

Can you do away with this unwanted feechur?

The normal width is still too wide for my monitor, but only by a little. Usually I can center a thread so I can guess at what's at the beginning and end of each line and read the post. But when there is anything extra-wide on a page, I have to scroll.

I hope this additional information helps with your trouble-shooting.

where now the last 1-2 inches of the screen is no longer ACCESSABLE. It plain just is NOT there!
