I thought it would be good to share my testimony and encourage others to live according to the messianic kingdom principles as we see the fruit thereof.
I was saved at the age of 5 one day after going to Southern Baptist Church Vacation Bible School after seeing my mom changed by this Jesus. I fell in love with this Jesus that changed my mom basically. I came home mad and asked her why she didn't tell me about receiving Jesus in my heart beforehand. We prayed then and there to receive Jesus. Growing up my mom took me to "christian music" concerts. One of them impacted my life when I was 7, it was a Michael Card concert. He taught all the children to "tell the world that Jesus loves, tell them you met Him forever a friend." From then on, I shared the gospel of Yeshua everywhere I went because I loved people and wanted them to know this great friend of mine. The Holy Spirit soon after started speaking to me and leading me to "the least of these." These were the trailer-park people, the stinky people, the fat people, etc. Of course it meant that I had to loose my reputation when in my Tennessee hometown school, repuation was everything. It was hard at first, but after seeing how it changed people it had brightened my eyes with hope and love for my schoolmates. Of course, this also meant suffering jeering and teasing, and oftentimes people spit and hit on me for hanging out with these precious low-class people. One time the newspaper came in and asked all us ten year olds what we wanted for Christmas, I said "for the whole world to know my friend Jesus." It was published on the front page of the newspaper that Christmas. As I went to Junior High, my mom became a southern Baptist youth pastor. It started a fire and there were unbelieving youth getting saved on every corner and joining the youth group. Soon after, the whole southern baptist youth group received the baptism of the Spirit and spoke in tongues. I too received it and was filled with unexpressible power! From then on, I heard the voice of G-d even clearer and was persecuted more! The Holy Spirit would wake me up every morning to pray for the divine appointments I would have with "the least of these" during the day. The Holy Spirit also taught me to love and bless those who persecuted me from my heart, and to always love in my heart and never hold a grudge. I would come home every day from school after seeing somebody's life changed and also after being persecuted and couldn't wait to go into my room alone with G-d. He would tell me how much He loved me and what He thought about me and encouraged me to keep going. That doesn't mean I didn't mess up, because I did get mad sometimes, but the Holy Spirit always rebuked me kindly and taught me. I had seen people accept the L-rd from all walks of life, once the L-rd even used me to lead a girl to the L-rd before she was thinking about commiting suicide that night and stopped because I reached out to her and she met Yeshua. The L-rd gave me words of knowledge and prophetic dreams of who to minister to. It was great days! One quick note about blessing my enemies, one of the girls who mocked and ridiculed me that I blessed and even helped still, received the L-rd after I graduated high school and looked for me for 4 years after this. One day I show up at her church preaching about Israel, and she comes to me weeping and apologizing and telling me that Yeshua gave her this to apologize to me. She thanked me for my example to her that led her to Yeshua. I also had ADHD and Yeshua healed me of it so that I could go from F's in Junior High to graduating 3.77 with National Honors Society in High School.
I felt from the L-rd to go to Brownsville Revival School of Ministry after I was touched by G-d mightily at Toronto-like meetings. It was here while I was serving in a restaurant that a lady walked up to me and told me and prophecied of my calling to Israel ( I did not know this lady, but was serving her at a restaurant).She was on a fast and the L-rd told her to break her fast and walk into the restaurant and she would meet a young man there who was called to Israel. She invited me to her house and I saw a girl whom I had seen two days prior and thought she was cute ( I had never kissed a girl in my life before my wife). At first site, the L-rd told this girl I was her husband (but she never told me until after I married her). She was Israeli and prophecied over me in my calling to Israel as well (of course, as a Christian Zionist I did have a heart for Israel before this as well). I then started taking Hebrew lessons from her and fell in love with her, she also fell in love with me. We never told each other as I was relationship shy. After she returned to Israel we kept in contact as friends. After a year, I asked her to take our relationship further and came to Israel to visit her. She said if I wanted to marry her I had to come to live in Israel. We got married six months after returning to America from Israel and then started a ministry, itenerated, and moved back to Israel. Meanwhile, after doing much research, the L-rd moved on my heart about a lifestyle of the feasts of G-d and truth and His Shabatt. I commited to a kosher lifestyle. The L-rd did warn me to hold on to His truth and not the Orthodox oral law trap. So I then made a commitment to live a messianic lifestyle and was discipled in this by Asher Intrater.
Now I am a youth leader in a Tel Aviv messianic congregation and am about to move to Jerusalem to join a messianic apostolic ministry team.
The L-rd is faithful to those who obey Him!!!! The point of this whole testimony is to encourage others that if we live daily by kingdom principles, then the L-rd will thrust us into our destiny. I hope this encourages someone.
