  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

My dog just staring marking his territory, and he's doing it inside the house! Is there any way to stop this? Or is there any way to set up specific spots where he can do it? We can't take him outside because it's too cold for him (he's a chihuahua). Also, he doesn't like walking on the leash, so we can't even walk him when it gets warmer. Is there anyway to get him to like it? He doesn't respond to treats when he's upset about something, so I can't train him with that. Lol, any help would be appreciated! :)

Is he neutered? If not, get it done fast otherwise this will most likely continue! If he's recently been neutered, he may need a couple months for the hormones to die down. Also, make sure you clean all spots really really well. You can use an enzyme cleaner, like Nature's Miracle. You can find it at petstores. You can also use vinegar and water to clean it as well.

My Border Collie did this when I first got him (he was almost 1 year old), and the only solution was to get him neutered, and even then he continued for about two months. The only way to get most dogs used to the leash is to walk them everyday with it, whether they like it or not. They usually don't at first!

Un-neutered dogs will continue mark for their entire life... just the way it is. Sorry.

I use Simple Solution to clean up spots on the carpet. It works wonderfully, and completely eliminating the odor so that my cat doesn't even know it was there.

HI! If youre not ready to get him neutered yet, go to walmart or a petstore even grocery stores and get those pet training pads. They look like big diapers and have a side with tape on it to stick on the wall. They have some scent in them that attracts dogs. It works, if you put them down wherever you want him to go he'll start going there. Good Luck! I bet he's a cute little SQUIRT..lol no pun intended!!:)

Try a leash instead of a collar, that might work. If not, just keep walkin the poor lil squirt:) he'll get over it. One of my dogs really flipped out when he was young on a leash, but he got over it. I don't know how, I guess he just learned to like walks.

Ohhhh, thank you for your help. So if he gets neutered, would it stop completely or just be reduced by a lot?
