I just think it's kind of.... I don't know. Like Taoism used to be a major stumbling point for me, the concept might not be totally Taoist but God's will is the ultimate, nothing further. Feeding "good" in you is nothing without Him.
I agree, that's why you recognize the good that is in you, is God.
The good anybody has is God, in apologetics it's called objective morality.
But if you ignore God, you snuff out his light.
And ignite the devils.
Not to say that you can't relight Gods light, you can, and it seems you have.
The principles of Taoism can be applied, just like the principles of Buddha, they're good principles on their own right, not needed in the Christian faith, but there's something to be learned from them.
They're false religions, don't get me wrong, but there is wisdom to be had.
To put it in more Christian terms, you either feed your flesh, or you feed God.
Your worldy desires will grow, or your faith will grow, respectively.
Either way, the idea is that one of them will win if you just feed them enough.
Feeding faith, or feeding your flesh.
I didn't mean to imply that you have your own good, separate from God, or that you should feed your perception of good, rather than God. God is the ultimate, anything less is not "good".
It's really good that you recognize that, it's something a lot of millenial Christians seem to miss.
