  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

¡Feliz el Dia de la Battala de Puebla! We all know it's more celebrated in the US than in Mexico. Which is not necessarily incongruous.. The Mexican's victory may have had more effect on our history than theirs. If the French had won the battle, and firmly established themselves in charge of Mexico, it's quite likely they would have sold weapons to the CSA. With a secure supply of high quality armaments and other military materiel, it's possible the Confederacy could have forced the Union into an armistice. We could be 2 countries, instead of one United States. (Some might say we've become that already.)

BTW, I've never developed a taste for Tequila. Years ago, I was at a dinner and tasted some of the higher-end stuff ($100+ a bottle.) It was OK. Though I still like a good Bourbon better. And most restaurant Margaritas are much too sweet. I'm open to trying Tequila again, but I won't pay more than $75. Can anyone recommend a nice, smooth Tequila in that price range?

I think Chinaco is quite good. This may be the stupidest thing ever, but I haven't had any since they changed the shape of their bottle.

Don Julio.

Both should be available as añejo in that price range. The aging should help to smooth the taste.
