I have been passing through such a coldness and lukewarm feeling. I don't have enthusiasm in my heart for anything even prayer or going to church. I'm doing sins without even feeling guilty. has God taken the holy spirit from my heart ? how to end this hard period. I actually don't feel anything. I like a dead person. I have surrendered to the sins and devil road .
Then seek God intensely and refuse to take what the devil is offering you. You've got to strive against the current of the world and your flesh to be alive in God. You have to choose to appreciate what Christ has done for you in offering you redemption to be His own and not a slave to sin and the devil any longer.
You are indeed concerned to some degree and you do feel guilty to some degree. Yet you have to take action by identifying why and where you turned from the Lord, and by renouncing your straying at its root. Seek Him and surrender to bring your life into line with His Word- and He'll bear witness that you are forgiven and alive in Him when He accepts your repentance and faith. He offers the same mercy and redemption to all, and meeting His terms isn't easy on the flesh, but it is reasonable, possible, and you can press through diligently seeking Him with the hope that His promises are faithful. Those who utterly renounce their sins in identification with Christ in His death to sin will be made alive with Him to live unto God in new life. Value this great salvation appropriately, seek Him earnestly, and you'll be out of your rut in due time.
Mark 8:34-38 "34 And when he had called the people unto him with his disciples also, he said unto them, Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.
35 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel's, the same shall save it. 36 For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? 37 Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? 38 Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels."
Isaiah 55:6-7 "6 Seek ye the Lord while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near: 7 Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the Lord, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon."
Revelation 22:12-17 "12 And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be. 13 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last. 14 Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city. 15 For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie. 16 I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star. 17 And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely."
