• Jacques Maritain, True Humanism

• Jean Daniélou, God and the Ways of Knowing

• Dietrich Bonhoeffer, Ethics

• Charles Journet, Theology of the Church

• Louis Boyer, Introduction to Spirituality

• Matthias Joseph Scheeben, The Mysteries of Christianity

• Gabriel Marcel, Creative Fidelity

• Avery Dulles, Theology of Revelation

I've read de Lubac, Maritain, Boyer, and Dulles, multiple books by each of them. Boyer is probably the reason I'm Catholic today.

Obviously one could add to this list. I might add Romano Guardini, who I am beginning to appreciate more and more. But it is a very good list and a book by any one of these would be a good read. They would also be a little bit hard to find these days.

Guardini is excellent.

I would think The Lord is the go to work by him. But all his stuff is gold.

It's a solid list.
