What my point in all this is...when you get into something such as sex and drugs and drinking...it is just a evil cycle and its VERY hard to overcome it. I can remember when I was really struggling with it...my Mom would be there for me the whole way through and she said "Sex may feel good at the moment, but eventually the moment ends." That is so true and it made me think. Think about what comes along with sex. Potentially pregnancy, disease, addiction, conflicts with family...Many things come out of just a few minutes of pleasure.

Its not worth it...I can tell you from experience and knowing that as much as you want it now...Wait...Wait until you have a wife...wait until you are financially stable to have a family if that happens. God has so much more for our lives other than sex. He did yes create it but he intended it for marriage. Keep that sacred. Find the person you will marry and enjoy her and enjoy being friends with her, and really search out what God wants for your life before you give something up that you can never take back.

Like sex, Drinking and drugs will be a lifetime of temptation.
It is easier to not know what they will do for you and leave them, then to try them and then leave them alone.

Alot of good advice was given to you above. Here is what I want you to know...

Number 1 I am praying for you
Number 2 You are not alone. The pressure in this area is put on everyone at some point or another. I just happen to have gotten past this and broke up with a guy simply because he wouldn't respect my answer or no. I will say I wanted to... but in saying no it made me feel better about myself.

You are 19 years old and you are temtped to have sex? Congratulations!!! You are normal!!!!!

Several suggestions...

Make this a matter of prayer.

Find an accountability partner - Ideally a guy who is a little older than you, but it could be someone the same age who might be more spiritually mature with whom you meet and talk and pray honestly about how you have been doing with this particular temptation.

Avoid situations where you could easily move beyond temptation into action. You are probably to too likely to have sex in a bowling ally... but alone in a girl's apartment is a much greater temptation. Keep yourself in places where it would be more difficult to act. Yes, mature adults can handle situations that could be turned into sexual situations without allowing them to do so... but why test your limits?

Monitor what you read/watch/listen to. Just waking up as a 19 year old male every morning is a temptation to be sexually active, I understand. But if you are watching TV or movies with lots of sexy scenes or sexual focus, or playing video game with sexual imagry or heroines or villans, you are only making it more difficult for yourself.

Select which women you spend time with. Yes, I now, any woman alive is a temptatin at some level, but there are women who try to dress modestly, avoid sexual topics of conversation and don't fl;aunt their bodies or touch you in provocative ways, OK, any ways! Going out with a tease is going to make it harder to remain pure. Cut yourself some slack!

Be physically active. In combinatin with other things, it helps.

l was in the same boat as you were about sex l wasn't sure if l should wait either. Or just do it l know it is hard like I had sex with a guy I dated for a very long time I was temped to do so and I did it. I feel really stupid for doing it l wish I waited until marrage I feel horrible and depressed about it. I would wait If I were you. But thats your choice I can't stop you from doing what you want to do. But I strongly think you should pray to God as well
