I'm excited about this new forum for 30's. I'm seeing people I haven't seen before and some I have but don't know well.

So let's get to know each other. Tell us about your children.

I have 2 sons.

Mitchell is 16 and a junior in high school. He's kind of quiet but has a great sense of humor. If you can actually get him to talk long enough to tell you a joke, he'll definitely make you laugh. He's very intelligent with a 4.25 GPA so far this year. He plays the saxophone, by note or by ear. He likes to play baseball and golf but loves to watch football. He's a huge fan of WVU and the Pittsburg Steelers.

Nic is 14 and a freshman. He's very outgoing and loves life. He's very easy going, generous and quick to forgive. He loves to please. And he's a little on the hyper side. (So much like his dad!) He also likes to play baseball and golf. He's a little interested in watching football but prefers his video games. He plays the drums and trumpet.

I've posted pics of them here in the forum.

Hope to hear about your families as well!

Oooo, a place to brag on our kids:clap::D

My DD is turning 8 next week and is in 2nd grade. She's not really the natural student type, and although she struggles with math she swears up and down that it is her favorite subject. She is very talented with art, and has even had some of her art hung in public. She has been interested in learning the piano too, so I have taught her a little. She struggles a bit with anxiety and shyness, but has made great strides in the last couple years.

My DS is a 6 year old kindergartener. He LOVES cars and trucks and anything mechanical. He is a very hard worker and can bag a cart full of groceries faster than I can. School is a big priority for him. He always tries his best and his teacher really enjoy having him because he does work so hard and can always be depended upon. He tends to get a little overly-silly at times - maybe that's his way of trying to balance out his super serious attitude or something

I love this idea for a thread!! Great idea!!!

My daughter Marina is nine and in the fourth grade. She is a very shy and quiet girl, but when she is confortable she is very open and giggly. She loves art and has been displayed publicly as well as chosen to exhibit in a regional traveling children's art show. She is a bright girl and does very well when she applies herself. She loves music...singing and playing the piano. She recently has started creating her own little magazies at home for friends. She loves swimming, and I don't think there is an animal that she doesn't like or want. Marina also seems to be very sad inside, and that pains me...not sure how or what to do.

My son Isaac is eight and in the second grade. He likes to be the boss! It has been professionally said that he has the personality of a CEO. Who knows...he'd rather be a judge, policeman, football player, or grocery bagger! His passion is sports! Loves everything. He plays baseball, soccer, and football. He also wrestles, bowls, and swims. Yes, we are very busy with schedules! Yikes! He wants to play basketball, too, but thankfully, he can't be on a team until third grade! Isaac is also very bright and does very well in school. He loves people, and I don't think there is a person that he doesn't think he can't make a friend with.

Both of the kids love Jesus very much and are happy that church is a part of our lives. They also both like school!

I also have a daughter Michaela who would be 13. She went to live with Jesus when she was two years and eight months old following her third open-heart surgery. She was the light of my life, and I will always treasure the time I had with her, and I anticipate holding her again one day. She was a bright spot in many people's lives, and always brought smiles. More than once in a store strangers came up and asked if they could touch her...she was too beautiful not to touch. I remember this happening three times, and I think it was just something that radiated from her. She loved Jesus very much in her short earthly life.

My daughter Bridgette is 9, in 4th grade. She made the A honer roll this marking period. She is enjoys kids of all ages and is a little mother hen, she is going to make a great mom one day. She helps lead singing at church and accepted the Lord this past July.

My Son Bobby Joe is 7 and in the 2nd grade. His favorite subject is science and does very well in all subjects. He also helps at times lead singing at church. He actively reads the bible and loves the Lord.
He is majorily into Dinosaurs, collecting and reading about them.
His favorite is the T-rex. He says he wants to be an ambulance driver when he grows up, but I think with his passion for science like he does, he may go into that field.

I love reading about everyone's kids...What parent doesn't like to brag on their kids?

My oldest son is 15, going on 25...He is a Sophomore and loves school so much, he would live there if he could..He is on the National Honor Roll and he has been for 3 years  He is very smart in my eyes and his goal is to be an Orthopedic Surgeon...He plays varsity football where he plays center..He has played football since he was 6 years old..He is active in church and he has been a Christian for a long time...He has recently gotten his driving permit and he scares me with his driving sometimes :prayer:

My youngest son is 6 years old and he is in the 1st grade...He is my miracle boy.. He was born dead and was rushed on a jet airplane to another hospital where he stayed for the 1st 8 days of his life...I did not get to hold him until he was 4 days old and that was very heartbreaking...But we made it through because God healed him and now he is an active little boy...He is very organized and does not like anything to be out of place or moved from where he keeps it...He likes things clean...He can also be a shy little boy too...He made all A's on his report card this year and he excels in reading...he also loves school and he loves to go to church

Thanks for letting me brag...I just found this 30's forum too...Our very own forum...That is great...Hi everyone

My daughter was a unexpected suprise. Her mother and I were together for six years, we can say we did not want children, but one the same hand we were not doing anything to protect ourselves. When we became pregnant, we were surprised, scared, but mostly we were actually very happy about it. We went out and bought all kinds of baby stuff, it was a glorious time in our life. I have not once regretted having my little Angel. She's a gift from the Father above. My daughter is four years old now. Her name is Aubrianna. She's very smart. At the age of three she could say the pledge both in English and Spanish. Aubrianna can already wright her full name in English and Spanish, she's currently in Day-Care. She will start school next year. I never babied her, I talked to her as a child, not a baby. She's very outspoken (sometimes to out spoken). She takes dancing classes and already has a boyfriend (she says) things that make a father go hmmm or Grrrr... I play guitar and she wants to learn. I have been teaching her guitar for about 1 month, and she's picking it up very fast. Her favorite color(s) are red, purple, blue and green. What else do I say. She's my bundle of Joy hehe

My son Matthew is 3 and was an unexpected blessing. I was persuaded that I was a barren bertha when God told me He had other plans. I am kinda glad that I had him later in life, so he wasn't born into the turmoil of my first marriage or when I was struggling with a lot of stuff.

He can't write or read and goes in his pants about as much as the potty, but I think he is just perfect.

I have two kids, Julia is 7 and Adam is 5. Julia is doing great in school and I couldn't be prouder. She is very kind and considerate of others. She has been a great blessing in my life.

My son Adam is so sweet! he started pre-k this year and loves being around other little kids. He has had many health issues and surgeries. He was born with a Neuro disease, and has to see doctors on a regular basis. I was so concerned how he would do when he started school because of the stigma placed on children with neuro problems and learning...etc....but so far he doesn't have any kind of learning issues, and is actually doing really well, and is exactly where he should be for his age. I am so happy for him!!!

My oldest daughter, Caylee  is 9 and beautiful and smart. She is the mommy of the children (which causes some problems sometimes). She has a beautiful voice and loves to sing. She is active in her student council in the 4th grade. She just got invited to be a Student Ambassador next summer and plans on spending 3 weeks in England and Scotland. Great opportunity for her; but it breaks my heart to let her go. I mean she is only 9.

My second daugher, Shelby :holy: is 7 and in 2nd grade. This child is great at every sport she touches. Right now she is in love with gymnastics. If I could describe my ideal of a really good kid it would be her. Out of my 4 she is the most respectful and giving child I have ever seen. She is always giving up something so her siblings can have it. She is does very well in school and loves art.

Breana  is my 3rd daughter. She is 4. She loves dance and her little brother. She is so excited to go to school next year and be just like her older sisters. With this child you will never be in need for conversation. She is very outgoing and talkative. When I was pregnant with her I had some problems and they told me that I was definately going to lose her. She is my proof to the doctor's who said it wasn't going to happen that God is the one controlling my life, not them. She is my little angel.

Last one in line is my son Garrett:cool:. (YEAAAA, we had a boy!) He is 3 and spends most of his day basking in the limelight of his sisters. Yes my son is spoiled but not by his father and I. His sisters can't get enough of taking care of him and he soaks it up for all it's worth. His smile could make the hardest of hearts melt. He is definately all boy and loves watching football and playing just about any sport that his dad and Shelby teach him.

Thank you for letting me share my kids! I am so blessed.

My Daughter Kirsty, is 6 yrs old, she is in Year 2 at school and loves it. She loves to read and to draw and play with her dollies and barbies. She has the ability to make me feel better after a bad day just by putting her arms round me.

She loves to dress as a princess but equally loves to act like a little ruffian. Quite simply she is a complete joy. If I am ever asked what good have I ever done, I can honestly say it is having her.

Our son Ky is 16 and a sophmore. We're on his 6th year of homeschooling. He stays very active in our church's Youth Department where he serves on Youth Council. He is also football manager for our town's high school varsity team. He likes to hang out with friends, go to concerts, chat on AOL, hunt with his dad, work on 4 wheelers...etc.
He can practically fix anything that's broken. His dad can't, so that really comes in handy. He's restoring a 1972 Yamaha at the moment.
He has a great sense of humor and hugs me at the exact moment when it's needed. He's our only one, we're so blessed!

I have 2 kids.

My son is 14, a natural born musician and he was just accepted to the worship team at church to play guitar. He is very smart and took his SAT in 6th grade! He is in 8th grade now and is active in marching band. Recently he was accepted into an Honors Band where he played with about 140 other students from 27 schools in the area.

My daughter is 12, and is a great artist. She struggles a little with school, but she is becoming a good student with her study habits. She is joining band in January and hopefully will be in the flag corp for next marching season. She is in the 7th grade, and recently got braces.

The Lord told me 4 years ago that I was to pray for another baby. I have prayed and prayed and nothing. My hubby had a vasectomy 12 yrs ago so it will HAVE to be an act of GOD for it to happen. I keep thinking that I misheard, BUT I know what I heard. lol

Here is Nicholas. He just turned 9 months. He enjoys laughing at everything, playing his psuedo-drum, watching daddy play his guitar, and having mommy sing to him. Some of his favorite things are watching people go up and down the stairs, dropping things from his high chair to the floor, making funny noises, and his cardboard box that he uses as a house.

Emily is my 7 year old. She's in the first grade. She's very sensitive. She thinks all the time, which causes her to worry a lot. She's so good hearted...very kind and generous. She's very playful and loves to wrestle with her Daddy. She won't get out of bed until he comes in and wrestles her awake in the morning. She's a wonderful artist and she loves to write stories, complete with pictures...she tells me that she's going to be an "author and an illustrator" someday. I don't doubt it one bit. She's very smart, and she picks up things very easily...she has a phenominal memory. She is my little grown up. She has a real need to understand the whys and hows of things...she doesn't really like surprises very much...she's very much a planner. She makes lists and likes things to be done properly. She loves to read and she has the best handwriting in her class (according to her teacher :) ). She plays softball and is very good. Batting is her favorite part and she's awesome at it. She's a great fielder when she's not watching the clouds go by, dancing, or playing in the dirt, lol. She's a beautiful child, very photogenic, and she has a beautiful voice. People tell me her face looks like Hermione from the Harry Potter movies...I can see it sometimes if she's wearing her hair long. She has freckles on her face, big blue eyes that will knock you over, long hair down to her butt, and a squishy nose that I love to kiss. She's my Angel Face.

Eden is my 4 year old. She's going to be the one to give me gray hairs, I can tell already. ;) She's very mischievious, but not in a mean way...she just likes to see what she can get away with occassionally. She loves to be the center of attention...she lives to make people laugh, and she's truly been given the gift to do so. She's hilarious. She's so adorable and sweet...she just makes you want to pick her up and snuggle her. And she lives to snuggle...that's how her daddy has to wake HER up in the morning. She loves to get kisses and give kisses. She's a very, very loving child. And she's very easy going and easy to get along with. She's very smart for her age...she's in preschool right now. She has a speech problem that she goes to therapy for...she leaves certain consenant sounds off the beginnings of her words...it's called initial consenant deletion. It makes her sound like she's talking baby talk even though she'll be 5 in June. I can't help it, I think it's ADORABLE...it just makes her all the more my little baby. I understand every word she says, but I usually have to translate most things to other people. She's very charismatic...people are drawn to her. She has the most beautiful reddish hair and soft curls, and blue eyes. She's beautiful, just like her sister. She's my Snuggle Bug.

I've been so blessed with my two wonderful daughters.

I love this thread - its so wonderful to read about everybody's little ones

I have four children: Josh 16 (17 in a few weeks), Janie 12, Zachariah 5 and Danny 4 (see avatar for pictures)

Josh is a tough kid. He keeps his thoughts very private. He doesn't like to stand out in a crowd. He gets embarassed very easily. He just got his first car and has a job at a fast food restaurant. He loves to laugh and has the cutest smile. He loves his video games and in fact has gone to several competitions and won. He's very into computer graphics and is planning a career in that field. I never realized until this year how creatively talented he was.

My daughter Janie, whose real name is Janese (pronounced Ja - niece). She's a handful - always challenging authority. She is insanely intelligent. Her recent report GPA was 4.06! But sometimes her intelligence gets the best of her. She is very strong willed. Unfortunately, I think she's a little too much like mom :) She loves to read and sing and dance. She plays the flute and just started getting into basketball. She does have a very tender heart towards God - which I am thankful for.

Zachariah is just a blessing! He was born at 26 weeks and was diagnosed with cerebral palsy. The doctors said he wouldn't be able to walk and he'd be in a wheelchair by 3. Well this little boy has such determination. He has endored so much. Thanks to answered prayers and his sheer determination this little one is walking. He goes through countless therapy and works so hard. You'd be hard pressed to tell that he has anything wrong. It's a wonderful daily reminder of Gods wonderful grace.

Danny is just a little comedian. He too had a few medical problems. He was on life support at 1 mo old and wasn't expected to live. But God intervened and Danny is making remarkable progress. He is talking up a storm and loves to cuddle.

Can't wait to read more about everyone's kids!
