  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I'm probably a very tolerant type of guy when it comes to movies. I watch practically any movies, and there will be parts that I enjoy, except Mr. Boll's game-to-film adaptations ^_^ .

But for the first time in my own life, I covered my eyes and skipped scenes. I've seen movies with senseless gore and violence. Heck, I've even sat through countless amounts of chick flicks. But this movie, I couldn't not handle it.

The disgusting scenes that this film provided, not to mention the seriously overly-handled use of every types of "bad" word available in the English dictionary just made me want to puke. I couldn't even laugh at their jokes, because honestly, they weren't funny at all.

Most of the jokes they include are pointless and only laughable if you're 13 years old and going through puberty still, or you just simply enjoy a senseless comedy based on heavy cussing and a wide amount in the use of the F word.

I thought this film was a lowly comedy and I couldn't bear to watch it at all. A lot of the jokes aren't at least intelligent like South Park. The materials lacked depth.

I couldn't see why Team America gained such fame, when all it included was something less thought out than TV shows. I seemed to gag more than laugh.

I only laughed at two gags. The "Matt Damon" one, and the bit where the 'big cats' were released and it was just a normal moggy which started eating the pupets, that was pretty funny. The rest of it, meh, much like my reaction to South Park.

I haven't seen much South Park but I suppose that Team America's humour is fairly typical of their creators' style.

I like how it uses/parodies the puppet techniques used in "Thunderbirds" (the TV series, not the live-action movie).

I also appreciate the satire.

Wasn't as good as South Park, but my experiance seeing the movie was somewhat overshadowed by the fact that the person next to me in the theater was an 80 year old Romanian woman who laughed uproariously at every joke.
