  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Do you like tea? What kinds do you like? I recently had a SDA minister say tea was against the faith :)sorry: ) because of the caffine...(then he admitted he eats candy bars!)...

God bless.

Tea doesn't have ANY caffeine, it has theine. No kidding, theine is different from caffeine, and theine doesn't have the same effect on the body as caffeine because your body can't metabolize it, it just passes through your system. The lift that some people feel from tea is purely psychological, unless they are drinking something like Morning Thunder by Celestial Seasonings, which is a fortified tea with caffeine added.

So, drink tea with a clean conscience, it has no "drugs" at all in it! :)

I drink all kinds of tea and honestly love it. I wonder if anyone has ever tried Manchurian Mushroom tea? It is a tea that is made by letting a large Manchurian mushroom fermate in brown sugar tea. It really tastes horrid and you can only drink 4ozs a day, but it cleans the bloodstream and has been known to cure cancer, diabetes and other ailments.

I drink sweet iced Lipton tea and I also drink hazelnut coffee because I looove the taste and it gets me going if I've had a rough night with the baby, so that preacher would have a hay day with me eeek Though I disagree with his belief on tea.

I love Chai tea, it's the next best thing to cappichino. Earl Grey and Darjeeling are too bitter for me. Love my iced tea too, as long as it's not too sweet. I don't get these people dumping so much sugar into a glass of tea that it looks like a snowglobe.

Earl Grey is good, but I recently tried Vanilla Caramel tea (made by Bigelow teas) and French Vanilla tea. YUM!!! And I accidently added diet vanilla coke to a glass of iced vanilla caramel tea - and it tasted good!

I like Constant Comment too!

Are you sure? I have three different brands of tea at home and they all have a caffine count on the side of the box. Could you explain a little more? I know herbal tea (most of them) don't have caffine, but regular tea has Earl Grey has 40mg of caffine in each cup...green tea has about 30mg.

lambslove, can you give me a lesson in what theine is? :groupray:
