I have to say after experiencing the Holy Land experience, I find the bible more of a joke than before. I hate to say this but they help confirmed that this is all one big Christian fraud. It can't be real if we are able to insult God and then call it Christianity. TBN might as well spit in the imaginary God face.

I have been studying the bible for 15 years personally and never in my life I could relate the bible in a christian world. I do not understand the mentalities and the way of these man traditionalist churches.

I am more lost than I was before I met God, Christ, Spirit, whoever....why is this such a huge joke to most? Is it because they are so money hungry they slap God on it and call it Christianity?

Lately I have been studying all sorts of different religions and I can not help but to think this whole world is fake. Anyone can splash paint on a picture and call it art, anyone can write a book and say its fact over fiction, the bible has been written some many times by so many so called scholars...who in the world give these people authority to be called a scholar? Is it because GOD ordained them when I don't even know if His power exist since we are turning him into a huge joke. Its sickening!

I am trying my best to hold on to this but I might have to walk away from the bible because its not adding up. All my life, never truly meeting anyone with Gods power but these fakes on TV money sucking you dry? I can't even take TV seriously...this world will make us believe anything to get that ALMIGHTY DOLLAR!

So sad to hear this. God is there waiting for you - you don't have to be in a church on bended knee with Bible in hand - Jesus is your friend and walks by your side as close as your shadow and the Holy Spirit leads you.

Put aside all that these churches or preachers that are confusing you aside and put your hand in the hand of Jesus and let Him walk with you. It is a beautiful walk and a personal walk. You don't have to be among all those people. Jesus is close to you and all you have to do is call on His name. Get rid of all the confusion and turn your thoughts to Heaven, God is waiting with open arms.

Many of us are disenchanted by the path that televangelism has taken us on. I believe the best path forward is a personal one. Forget church or religion. Feel and absorb your spirit and the right things will flow in. It may involved organized religion and it may now. Nowhere in the New Testament does it say that you must be Catholic or Baptist to be saved.

I was fortunate to find Wayne Monbleau (Loving Grace Ministries) on the radio before I saw the televangelists. But if you judge Jesus by any humans... well we're all changing and growing and falling everyday. He isn't. I don't understand TBN and what they do but God can use an ass's jaw bone, I guess He can use some pink haired old lady.
For intelligent and kind perspective I recommend Ravi Zacharias - he has lots of free teachings on youtube... Monbleau has his sermons free on LGM.com.
Wayne taught me that when I get that part about loving God with all my mind heart and soul down I can move on to greater things.... still working on the first part.
30 years ago I was an atheist, I thought Christians were just a bunch of hypocrites, I got saved (powerfully in my living room). I still think Christians are a bunch of hypocrites and it makes me smile bc when I look around a church and see all these hypocrites praising the Lord it makes me aware of how wonderful and great His love for us is... please don't tell me your perfect either. We're all in the same shabby bag of bones boat... the flesh is weak, spirit is willing etc etc. If not for Christ IDK what would have become of me, but today I have peace, love and joy in the midst of a fallen world.

You've put God and His word on trial; that's why you aren't getting blessed with revelation. Without faith its impossible to please God. You've made the equation about what you see men doing, when what it's really about is what God has commanded, which is to obey Him and turn from your sins.

You can't hold on; God has to keep you there. If you want to know God then surrender your will and your understanding and humble yourself before Him. Give your life to Him and He will reveal Himself to you, and not beforehand. You can't have it your way; you have to do it His way, or you will fall away. I will pray that doesn't happen. AfraidToShine, though everyone's experience isn't the same, sorry that was/is your experience. What's more important is that you realize that no one else is accountable to G_d for you but you. He loves you with an everlasting love (John 3:16; Rom 8:37-39).

Oh...I cringe every time I flip past that station. I can honestly say that I'd rather watch those 'Twilight' movies than anything on TBN. :shudder:

Jesus gave us a standard by which to recognize his disciples: "By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.” (John 13:35)

Now, plenty of people like to try to get around this in numerous creative ways, but the fact remains. God's people will be known for the love that they show one another. Those who are not known for their love are not following Jesus, no matter how many verses they can quote, or how long they've been hustling.

So if you are looking for the truth, or at least for an accurate representation of what Jesus was trying to convey, you need to look to people who are doing what he said to do. Love.

"Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God. Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love. In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him. In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. A whole lot of fault can be found with TBN. Even half the Crouch family itself is currently doing so in court. But God can use anything, even if it's not perfect. TBN is broadcasting the Gospel into some very dark Muslim lands. And there is fruit. That's why I simply leave them be, and go on my own way. The Lord knows how to judge and separate sheep and goats. My job is to stay faithful in my own sphere of influence.

At the same time, be careful about accepting what the world has told you about the Bible. Remember, many persons accepted death rather than deny that they saw the risen Christ. And based on their lives and testimonies, the next generations of Christians did the same - to the tune of millions of gruesome martyrdoms. Christianity wasn't always multimillion dollar buildings and expensive productions. The words the Apostles wrote were critically examined, cherished and carefully preserved - preserved better than any ancient book by far. Modern scholarship has confirmed that there is very little variation among the oldest extant texts. The Bible and its message are reliable, even if man lets you down.

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!! I have been trying to remember Wayne's last name for a LONG time. I used to listen to him every day on Christian radio and he confirmed a lot of what the Lord was teaching me. I was ordained and was teaching the law mixed with Grace (as I was taught by man) and the Lord wanted that over. I find Joseph Prince is just as anointed as Wayne when teaching on grace, and maybe even anointed to a greate degree as he undersands the Hebrew and Greek so well.

BTW, I am not a shabby bag of bones. I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus (2 Cor. 5:21b) because of His grace.
