A taxi driver and a vicar die and meet St Peter at the gates of Heaven.
St Peter lets the taxi driver straight through into Heaven, but tells the vicar he's being sent down to hell.
"Why do I get sent to hell?" the vicar exclaimed. "It's so unfair! I spent my whole life dedicated to God and being in church. How is it that that taxi driver over there goes to Heaven for doing nothing more than driving like a lunatic, whilst I go down to hell?"
St Peter replied "It's simple. When the taxi driver did his job and drove through the city streets, everybody prayed. But when you did your job and gave sermons every Sunday morning, everybody fell asleep!"
