ok recently (before i was saved) i got a tattoo, and its a trible armband. Now i only have this one and its on my upper right arm, its the only one i have and i dont plan on ever getting anymore but i really like this one. Trouble is, what does trible armband mean? does it have some sort of pagan ties to it or something? i know God wont be angry with me because he knows in my heart that i didnt get this tattoo for any reasons having to do with pagan religions or any religion for that matter. Should i worry about this?

i dont think tattoos are wrong period, and what you did on your past is covered...
the only thing i can say could ever be a problem is the tattoo causing a wall between you and someone else who may not like tattoos for some reason.

i use to want to get full arm sleaves and stuff, and now i just dont care too... its expensive and my taste has changed. but even if i hadnt changed i wouldnt now, but its only becuase it would probly keep me from ministering to people who dont feel so easy about such things.

yeah i dont think it would cause problems that way, you cant see it when im wearing a t-shirt and its like an inch thick

I don't believe tattoos to be wrong either. Also as far as I'm aware a tribal band isn't a pagan thing...just a pretty design.

You could do some research on the particular design, but I wouldn't worry about it.

Some Christians will quote a Leviticus verse at you condemning tatoos. However, tatoos didn't make the "forbidden to Gentiles" list in Acts 15:28-29, so I'd say you're good.

"Do not cut your bodies for the dead or put tattoo marks on yourselves. I am the Lord." - Leviticus 19:28 .

Note: Do not your bodies for the dead . Although this is 'borrowed knowledge I saw in another post a while back" I think that people used to cut them selves and tattoo themselves in a pagan ritual to protect them selves from spirits or something like that . Basically its saying not to take part in that pagan ritual. Its not condeming Tatoo's .

I echo what everyone else has expressed in this thread. Tattoos are not sinful unless you're getting one done for a sinful reason such as to make yourself more sexually alluring to someone. Tribal tats are pretty generic, so I wouldn't worry about any "hidden" meanings. Most people see tribals and think "ah, nifty". It's not like anyone would know what it meant to begin with. I'd say you're in the clear.

take into acount the time it was written, im sure it was the only form of tattoo around and people didnt get then cause they looked good.

Yeah. Getting a S/O's name is stupid, unless you get married first. Then you have a permanent reminder of a permanent union.
