  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Nothing to do with origins theology whatsoever, but I couldn't think of any other sub-forum with this many friendly Christian science enthusiasts :)

Are there any good universities in Australia for science? Also, if I'm studying for a career in physics, I'd be aiming for a BSc. majoring in physics, right? I'm quite blur about this sort of thing, and for some reason the lady at the college placement center stared at me for quite a while when I told her I was "studying science" as if I was speaking Martian or something. Hmm.

More to get your thread going that because I actually know what I'm talking about, you might want to check out the University of Melbourne and Monash University - those two seem to at least be the main public face of science in Victoria.

I'm in my final year of a BSc at Monash Uni in Melbourne and although I don't really have anything to compare it to, I've certainly got no complaints.

And yeh, if you were looking into a career in physics, you'd want a BSc with a physics major and probably a minor in a related field and depnding on whether or not you wanted to go into research you'd probably b looking at at least honours and probably Phd.

Blessings to you all

It all depends on where you are living or willing to go. I think you would find that most of the major universities in the country offer various science degrees. I know Queensland University of Technology does and I think Griffith Uni and University of Queensland do also. So check out the major Universities in the state of your choice.

Although I have no personal experience with the place, I have an acquaintance a the University of Sydney School of Physics, and it looks to be a good program. Since this is my first post, I can't put in a link, but they have a web page for prospective students.

Good luck.
