Tambourine dance?!

Just wondering if anyone does or has heard of tambourine dance in the church? When I went to the Philippines a few years ago they did some and it was ace- but I haven't tried any myself. Would love to hear of anyone who has.

Hi my name is Rachel and I did tambourine dance when I was a young girl. I live in Australia and I did tamourine dance for about 4 years. The group stoped because the teacher got hert by some of the people in the church. I have reciently brought my ribbions out of my carbourd and i am danceing at home at the moment. I wan't to join a tambourine dance team again but i haven't found a church with a team that is close to my home town. I enjoyed danceing every day and i love to worship God this way. I was also a tambourine dancer when I was younger. I danced as a part of a dance team in a church in the Philippines. That was about eight years ago. At that time, our dance team was limited to the youth group. I am now living in New York and the church that Im going to is planning to set up their own dance team. Im praying that it will go through for His glory.

try Christ for the Nations, they have videos on tambourine dance. one of my cousins is/was a tambourine dancer, she was really good.

There are plenty of resources in the internet for tambourine dance instructions but ordering them will cost dollars. Since you are in the Phils., try connecting yourself with other churches that has the same ministry and share inputs. You'll be amazed of how much you can learn from them and gain plenty of friends, too. Or you can ask favor from relatives in the US that can send balikbayan boxes to you with instructional videos.

The Pastors at my church are from Puerto Rico (I live in Vermont), and our worship is very expressive.. we use cloths.. ribbons.. flags.. tambourines a little.. will have to check out that site, benjie..

The site I told you has so many instructional videos and, by experience, the tambourine is the easiest to learn. After learning the begginer and intermediate intructions, you'll be able to dance during praise&worship together with the musicians and singers.

My 4 girls are in the tambourine program at church and just love it, they go once a week and learn how to play and dance and will eventually preform infront of the church and other churches as well, best thing they could have ever done, they say.

hi,i was in the tambourine dancing ministry before while i'm still inthe phils, that was like 10 yrs ago. I still remember how to do it but I don't have any pattern with me. And now in our church here in Montreal,they are asking me if I can teach even a few patterns, we are a pioneering church here of Lord of the Nations.
