And you could not be wrong about what He said, of course.Anyone who does that could be wrong. God of course could not be wrong, so what He said is not subject to that criteria is any way shape or form
God of course could not be wrong, so what He said is not subject to that criteria is any way shape or form
So did Jesus, and He is God! Guess who actually miscalculated? You've made a slight misassociation. You've associated what the bible said with what some God supposedly said.
No, because the 'which' you refer to is made up and false. Using that as the foundation, therefore for an argument leaves your argument built on the sand.Which leaves open the possibility that you might be wrong.
Your assessment is of no value when it comes to an ill conceived and rootless attempt to blacken the word and name of the Almighty. Maybe it is better to just admit you no likey. Are you willing to admit that? If not, then my assessment of your rationality holds.

No, I am questioning your unsupportable assertion that God Almighty and His word are wrong. If God id God He has to be right, we can't say the same for you. So, yes, for those who do not believe in God the only possible assertion is either that they do not know or that they of course could be wrong! So you're stubbornly sticking with the assertion that you can't possibly be wrong. It would seem therefore that my assessment of irrationality is correct.
If God id God He has to be right, we can't say the same for you.

Nobody is making that assertion. No, I am questioning your unsupportable assertion that God Almighty and His word are wrong.
I believe in God and that the Bible is His inspired word. I could be wrong about what it says, but so could you.If God id God He has to be right, we can't say the same for you. So, yes, for those who do not believe in God the only possible assertion is either that they do not know or that they of course could be wrong!
Great we are half way thereI absolutely, positively agree with this.
Naturally those who do not know someone would question those who do. The only way to know is to try Him. Jesus answered that questionAnd I'm questioning your ability to know unequivocally that God exists, that the bible is His divine word, and that you can rightly divide that word. You're incorrectly equivocating my questioning your knowledge with my questioning God's knowledge. The two things are demonstrably different. One may be infallible, the other definitely isn't.
You made that rule up. Some humans believe and do know. Others do not so much as know that they don't knowNo, it's not about whether someone believes or not, it's about whether they're human or not.
Can you guarantee that faith in God cannot be right?Neither belief nor faith come with the guarantee that you can't be wrong.
No, that is where knowing comes in. Others must resign themselves to not knowing and admitting (hopefully) that they may be wrong. That's what arrogance comes with.
So you are not saying that God and those who accept His word for it can be wrong?Nobody is making that assertion.
Prove it. Let's look at any verse in red from the new testament for example, how could I be wrong about what they mean exactly?I believe in God and that the Bible is His inspired word. I could be wrong about what it says, but so could you.
Given that Jesus's words were spoken in Aramaic and first written down in Koine Greek before being translated into English centuries later some uncertainty is already introduced. Nonetheless, I think we would be in broad agreement about the meaning of what He is reported to have said. However, the proliferation of Christian denominations with different ideas about it still suggests that either or both of us might be wrong to some extent. So you are not saying that God and those who accept His word for it can be wrong?
Prove it. Let's look at any verse in red from the new testament for example, how could I be wrong about what they mean exactly?
None at all. He knew all that. God is like that.Given that Jesus's words were spoken in Aramaic and first written down in Koine Greek before being translated into English centuries later some uncertainty is already introduced.
There are some things we do not need to agree upon. For example some married and some thought not marrying was better etc. Some ate veggie food and some ate meat. Jesus said Scripture must be fulfilled so that means it is good. He said so.Nonetheless, I think we would be in broad agreement about the meaning of what He is reported to have said. They are relative to everything. But what about Genesis?Let's look at the book of Genesis instead. Christ's words are not directly relevant to the issues of this forum.
This is the creation and evolution discussion forum. Are you not here to discuss creation and evolution?None at all. He knew all that. God is like that.

Well there's the Creation story itself. All religions have a Creation story at their heart. And all religions bring forward into their mist stories from previous religious trajectories. It's my belief that the two Biblical Creation stories we find in Genesis are examples of previous religions Creation stories that were brought forward by an ancient middle-eastern desert tribe. It's what those ancients regarded as their truth of things as they then understood it. Today the Earth itSelf is opening up for us a new Creation story. It's a story full of wonder and awe. As a Lover of God, for myself, it's also a story that looks directly into how God creates life forms. Which, for me, is what makes this new Creation story that the Earth is showing us as being very sacred and one that I find way more truthful into God's way's than the ancient middle-eastern Creation story of the past. But what about Genesis?
Some people apparently thought that meant claiming that the only rational position was to insult creation and God and the bible and believers. The claim was made the only rational position was to admit you might be wrong. That is not something that applies to God, or His creation or to His people whatsoever. Did you miss that? This is the creation and evolution discussion forum. Are you not here to discuss creation and evolution?
So?Well there's the Creation story itself. All religions have a Creation story at their heart.
Says who? God directly gave us the actual account. He brought it in. You cannot lump that in with all other systems. And all religions bring forward into their mist stories from previous religious trajectories.
Fine, you are welcome to your beliefs. The problem is that there is no such thing as two 'creation stories' in the bible. So whoever you imagine brought in something that does not even exist doesn't matter. It's my belief that the two Biblical Creation stories we find in Genesis are examples of previous religions Creation stories that were brought forward by an ancient middle-eastern desert tribe.
Don't blame it on the earth. It is more like people that left God out of their 'knowledge' interpreting accordingly.Today the Earth itSelf is opening up for us a new Creation story.
We never saw a creature created so why say that? We see created life adapting etc. It's a story full of wonder and awe. As a Lover of God, for myself, it's also a story that looks directly into how God creates life forms.
I find the lies of Satan to be something other than sacred. (you can call it something else if you like) To each his own I guess. It is a lie from the evil one according to the bible to doubt His word. No news there. It started at the garden.Which, for me, is what makes this new Creation story that the Earth is showing us as being very sacred and one that I find way more truthful into God's way's than the ancient middle-eastern Creation story of the past.
Careful study of His creation suggests the theory of evolution. As to His people, they have frequently been wrong. Some people apparently thought that meant claiming that the only rational position was to insult creation and God and the bible and believers. The claim was made the only rational position was to admit you might be wrong. That is not something that applies to God, or His creation or to His people whatsoever. Did you miss that?
Just to be clear, no one here is disputing the existence of God. Some believe, some don't, but no one is disputing it. This is not even the correct forum for such a discussion. So?

He is never wrong and gave us the account of what He did and how long it took etc.As to His people, they have frequently been wrong.
Just to be clear, suggesting that He may be confused, missing or lying about creation is disputing the existence of God. Call it a tomato if you like.Just to be clear, no one here is disputing the existence of God. Some believe, some don't, but no one is disputing it. This is not even the correct forum for such a discussion.
