  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Most of the time it's either that the person no longer wants to be with the other and uses it as a milder way of breaking up.

Though, I'm sure there are some who just want to take some time apart and find themselves, I don't put too much faith into a relationship like that. Once you're married, there are no breaks.

yeah, I'd have to agree. I went through it with my first and only boyfriend(now ex-boyfriend).
Sometimes i feel people take breaks is because maybe one is going under a lot of stress at this time, and cannot handle having the relationship and they do not want to drag the other down or hold them back.

I agree. Most of the time it stems from one party not wanting to take the responsibility of just telling the other person it's over. I have never observed anyone taking a "break" from a relationship who ever reconciled. "Break up" would be the more accurate term.

I took a "breaK" because her parents forced us to

Sounds like something my Fiances parents tried to make us do... I wasn't having any of it, you shouldn't force people to take breaks from relationships, especialy when there over two and a half years long.
