• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

Take, Lord, and receive all my liberty, my memory, my intellect, and all my will--all that I have and possess. You gave them to me: to You, Lord, I return them. All is Yours, dispose of all according to Your will. Give me only Your love and grace, for these are enough for me.
--Ignatius of Loyola (1491-1556)

This on topic to me as it is a great quote about what our Christian journey is! It has blessed my day and given me much to meditate on today and echoes other things that God is speaking to me about becoming more obedient, allowing Him to work through me and to mold me into the woman He created me to be. . .Thank you for you oops, God has indeed used it today!

I read a most stretching and interesting book recently. Entitled "Blue Like Jazz" Nonreligious thoughts on Christian Spirituality by Donald Miller. Kind of like reading this guys daily blog, but a man that does not shy away from the mysteries and wonderings/wanderings of faith, the inability of man to comprehend God, the need for wonder and questions and mysticism in our faith journey. Much to ponder about do I treat unbelievers as an enemy, do I know how to love them as Jesus does, am I truly repentant, etc

Not as deep as other other authors per say, as it was written for the purpose of getting anyone to begin to ponder, but indeed and interesting book.

I'm kind of interested in this book just to get some perspective on how evangelicals have conformed more to each other than Christ and other off-beat stuff he has to say even though from what I've read he will be a little too liberal for me. I have way too many books on my to-read list.

Thanks for the comments on it.
