Luke 8:
16 No one, when he has lit a lamp, covers it with a vessel or puts it under a bed, but sets it on a lamp stand,
that those who enter may see the light.
17 For nothing is secret that will not be revealed, nor anything hidden that will not be known and come to light.
18 Therefore take heed how you hear. For whoever has, to him more will be given; and whoever does not have,
even what he seems to have will be taken from him.
The Lord speaks of lighting a lamp for all to see the light, and points out that this light will reveal secrets.
We are then advised "take heed how you hear". How are we to comprehend 'how we hear', to see the Truth
being brought to light? Is it not that the Light is a person, and that person has a voice?
John 10:
27 My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.
28 And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand.
Ezekiel 3:10 Moreover He said to me: “Son of man, receive into your heart all My words
that I speak to you, and hear with your ears.
Discipline your mind to hear with your heart.
1 Kings 3:9 Therefore give to your servant a hearing heart to judge Your people,
that I may discern between good and evil. For who is able to judge this great people of Yours?
