  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

This is a place for those of us who are having sleep problems for one reason or another.

The Bible declares: "I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep; for thou, LORD, only makest me dwell in safety." Psalm 4:8

I have been on Benedryl for sleep for years now. That is an unacceptable when infact I know how to have a sweet sleep.

=> I remember a difficult time in my life having a sweet sleep without any medications since I consistently dwell on the Lord, meditating and praying, worshipping and glorifying.

Now, I let my mind think as it wishes the whole day and at night I reach for Benedryl.

Enough is enough. I am getting off 50 mg of Benedryl in TWO weeks gradually.
I will excercise regularily
I eat healthy
I worship the Lord and meditate on His word all the day
Drink 'sleepy time' tea at night
Drink hot milk at night
Go to be regularily and get up regularily at the same time
Prioritize and balance, relaxation is the norm
Scale back my ambition
Live a simple and serene life
Be calm
Help people, be led by the Spirit
Have fun
Listen to worship music
Don't day dream, but behold His glory
Be at peace with all
It is okay to fail, there is death remember
Rejoice in the Lord
Enjoy your family
Take hot bath
Have candle light dinner
Walk
Write diary
Don't get obsessed on anything
Slow down
Appreciate the sun, the moon, the flowers, the breath..
Pray
Listen to God
Wait, it is not as bad as you think
Don't rush

Those of you who have gotten victory over sleeplessness, please share ...

I'm on benedryl as well. At the moment it's due to stress (which would become worse were I not to even get the small sleep afforded to me by benedryl), but hopefully as that levels out I'll get back to my exercise routine and have normal, healthy sleep once again..
