I have recently just got back into drawing again. I taught myself how to draw at age 11 and quickly progressed, but life took a turn and I just stopped for quite a few years. Digital art really intimidated me, but I found out that it's actually easy, lol!

Here's a couple of my recent workings, both fan art. The 2nd is just a line art as I am trying something different.

Glad you stopped by to start a thread! The lines look nice and clean. I don't follow many anime or manga works, if this is fan art who is the character?

Is the second one, the lines, pencil, or just a grey background to establish the mid-tones?

The first character is Wintry Mary from the Game of Dice (it’s an app much like Monopoly, but you play with skill cards)

The second one is pastel outline, I’m gonna try and colour that with pastels, as an experiment really. Glad you stopped by as well! Thanks for commenting even though this may not be something you’re interested in

Well, I have just never really tried reading it. I don't know if I would be interested or not! But I have looked at a bunch of such artwork over on places like DeviantArt, etc. I like the style of the art. I am just not familiar with all the various stories or games.

Oh I see! I kinda grew up with this stuff. Even though I have siblings, we all Had our own interests and hobbies. I really liked board games and card games but I had no one to play with, so I grew up on Final Fantasy and other JRPGs.

Now stuff like real portraits I can’t do. I was self taught for anime but realism eludes me lol. Great job on that dog!

Thank you. Yeah, realism is difficult. I try to do it, but the reality is that it just takes tons of time, continually drawing from reference to get in the practice. There is a point where strict realism may not be worth the huge time investment, unless you have a market to make it worth it!
