I was hoping Big Tom would get booted.

At the first of the season, I was pulling for Rupert, but he hasn't made the game too interesting this time.

They were saying something about Rob and Amber having some kind of fight in the ads for last week, but there wasn't anything in the show about it.

yes.....they blew it big time by not voting rob off. he may win immunity the rest of the way for all they know. it is unbelievable that these people hold true to their alliances with him even though they watch him and participate in his backstabbing. he deserves to win....and he might....but i'd rather not see it happen.

Yeah Shii Ann I have a new respect for her. Those other people, (except Rupert) were such blatent jerks to her. Good for her for not letting them win. Wow. That girl has some strength of character. Good for her.

I liked Jenna from the first time she was on. I used to think I would probabaly like her in person back then. But wow, I'm shocked at how venemous she seems to be this time around. Scarey.

I was surprised to see Alicia go. I didn't really like her...but I could think of other people who are more obnoxious. Like that Tom guy. What an ignorant sounding person. And the way he talks about people? It's really offensive. I really hope that he doesn't by some fluke win this thing.

And could you believe that Rob answered that he was the most honest one in that game? Kind of makes me wonder if either he's not taking responsibility for the lies he's told...or he actually believes that he's done nothing dishonest.

I guess I'm rooting for Rupert or Shii Ann to win it now. They seem to be the only ones who have their character, and their heart still in tact.

I am soooo mad! I forgot to set my tape last night, so I missed it. Will someone who saw it let me know what happened? I am guessing Shii-Ann got voted off? What were the challenges and reward like? What else went on?

Aw, bummer.

One challenge, I forget if this one was the reward or immunity...maybe someone else can clear that up for us:
They had to lite a fire in a bucket that was on a see saw sort of contraption. When they did that they had to fill the other side's bucket with water, but the water side had a hole in it. When the side that filled with water weighed down the other side it would lift the fire to lite something that would set a Wok at the top. Whoever did that won. Everyone ran out of matches except for two people. It was Tom and Shii Ann. Unfortunately for Shii Ann she couldn't get her fire really going strong enough...she never got to the water part. Tom won. He got to take his son with him...and he got to choose someone else from the tribe to go with their loved one too. He chose Rob and Rob's brother.

Another challenge:
Was that the loved ones had to eat bugs and gross stuff to spend time with the members. I felt really sorry for Shii Ann's Mom. She looked like such a sweet lady...and she was gagging. Rupert's wife had a hard time too...although she didn't show it quite as much. I hate those types of challenges.

Shii Ann tried to lobby everyone into voting for Jenna. It was said by all that they didn't like Jenna, and were willing to vote her off if their alliance would sway that way. But they didn't. Shii Ann gave it a valient effort...got to give her that. But yes, they voted her off. She made a speech before the voting though...about how her vote was for the person who was playing the game the best. She said "Out of respect, I'm voting for the real matermind of this game" She voted for Amber.

Yeah, poor Shi- Ann, but she left with her dignity intact, good for her. I was really surprised at first that big Tom picked Rob to share the reward challenge but I guess Tom is thinking that Rob and Amber are his only hope for getting to top 3. seeing him kiss Rob's butt is more than I can take.
Jenna is starting to bug me too, I think if I were on the island I would have told her to shut up already by now.

Looking forward to growing paranoia!!! woo hoo!!!

Just so you all know- the finale is on SUNDAY May 9 so don't forget! I made the mistake of thinking the finale was on a Thursday last time and missed it! GRRRRR!

I hope it's Jenna! She is so annoying to me and even though Shii Ann irritates me, I'm glad she called Jenna out like that at tribal. That was too cool!

Thanks so much for the recap Wisdom Seeker! (And anyone else who joined in!). I for one am glad they voted Shii-Ann out. She really got on my nerves. I hope Jenna is next. I think Amber will win the million, though I wish Rupert would.

it is so foolish for the tribe not to get rid of rob when he doesn't have immunity. as all stars, they should understand that at this point in the game, his leadership and alliances can't mean squat. he is going to stab big tom in the back soon, regardless of all the kissing up that he has done. rupert has got to get tough and turn it up...or he'll be out next. rob know's that he's a threat because in a vote, he will win easily. if rob or amber get the $$$, i might just puke.

I think this show sort of epitomizes the dynamics of interpersonal relationships in the world.

The more agressive usually win. And it never occurs to anyone to stand up to them. Everyone else just submits...hoping for their benevelence.

The ignorant usually go a lot farther than they have a right to.

And the ones who use sex appeal to manipulate usually get everything they desire.

It's also interesting to note that the more a person complains...about anything...whether they're right or wrong...they will be silenced eventually.

I'm rooting for the member who I haven't lost respect for....so far. But, character and honor seldom win in the world. Let alone the world of Survivor.

It's kind of funny that as with life...the more intellegent a person is, the more they're despised. Does anyone else find that even a little disturbing?

I agree with you totally. These guys have done this before, why can't they see that Rob along with Amber are running the show? How can you trust someone like that? Everyone already knows how he lied to Lex - and that's his friend! I'm with you - I'm not going to be thrilled if Rob or Amber win.

Go Rupert!....although I think he will be voted off next week.

Yeah, I hope Rupert wins immunity too. I hope they vote Jenna off. She annoys me. I hope Rupert wins the whole thing, but I think Amber will. No one seems to see the monopoly Rob and Amber have. But I do think that Rob makes more people mad (Lex, Kathy, etc.) so no one will want him to have the million.

If Rob and Amber stay a couple, they'll get the million either way if one of them wins. I read somewhere (it might've been somewhere on Christian Forums) that they're living together now that they're off the island.

I heard they are not alowd to share the money after the game,one of the only 2 rules.The other hurting each other.
