  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Sure is a pretty day outside...

I thought I would share this with everyone.

I have an aunt who only has a few days to live. She has a liver disease that she has apparently had for years and the doctors are saying that it wont be long. She is in no pain and has been a devout follower of Christ for most of her life. She is an awesome woman who I will miss greatly.

Today I went to see her and had a chance to talk to her. She is coherent and just looks so peaceful. While she was talking, she turned her head and looked out of the window and said, "sure is a pretty day outside isn't it?" I wanted to cry after she said it, but then it made me think of something that just filled my heart with joy.

I hope she lives longer, but I started to imagine what her "days" are going to be like here shortly. I picture her closing her eyes here, opening them up with Jesus standing next to her, and for eternity saying, "sure is a pretty day outside isn't it."

Thought I would share that. Her name is Mary if anyone would like to pray for her and her family.

:prayer: Praying for your family. This is a awesome example how a christian outlook should be even when there is pain and suffering we still see the hope, joy, peace etc...we have in Christ.
