Hello brothers and sisters,

I have questions around supralapsarian and infralapsarian views.

1. Were these views initially brought up and discussed during the reformation?
2. Who are the earliest Christian’s to hold one or the other of these views?
3. Does the old church discuss any of this, before the reformation?

Blessings,
Tyler

1. No. Such a discussion is uniquely a product of Reformed theology, and emerged only among later Reformed theologians of the late 16th and 17th centuries.

2. According to Wikipedia the earliest to express either is Theodore Beza who held a supralapsarian view.

3. See first point.
