Hi all,
If a mod sees this post they will probably think I am spamming. I put something similar in two other categories. But in reality I was trying to locate the music category on the site. Once I was lost now I am found. So if you are a mod feel free to delete my other posts.
Any way. I have enjoyed writing poetry for ages, but decided I would write and record a song (on my laptop), when i had the day off work. You have to realize I have no musical background, apart from playing the guitar for a while. I don't know anything about music theory. So my music is not real flash. But I just really loved the words and wanted to put music to it. So below is my recording that I did using garageband, see what you think. Feel free to use the words and put your own tune to it if you want, I just love the creative process.

Many war and many fight
Yet Oh lord this is not right
Some take what is not theirs
Oh God come and take our cares
Others cry when no one knows
Their life on the edge and so it goes

Some in passion some in lust
Make rushed decisions lacking trust
Children born to broken homes
If only they were not alone
God provides and God does give
If only men could to him live
