  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Hey guys,

Recently our SS teacher got a great offer from someone to do a start-up, for a church about a month and a half ago. Since then, I and another guy in our college age class has been taking turns teaching. At first, it was more out of obligation because there was no one else to teach our class, now it's not. I feel like God is wanting to use our class and really make it grow. I myself have grown much since taking on the job. The youth pastor of our church (who was hired to that position) is now wanting to teach our class. While I think it's great, everyone in our class (including me) would rather have our peers teach Bible Study. I want to make sure it's not pride that is wanting me to stay and teach. I have a real passion for teaching our college class now, and I just wanted to see what you all thought. Please give me your opinions.
