  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

May combed her hair as she sat in her room. Tears fell down her face. All she could think about was her past and what she had come from. She remembered that she had been homeless and that she had been forced into prostitution because she was starving in the streets. May sat on her bed and prayed to Jesus Christ that he would heal her pain and bring her peace.
She now lived in a women's home run by Catholic charities. The building housed young women who were pregnant and or homeless. May lived there safely with a group of other young women and the house itself was run by nuns.
May was shy and she had anger at God for letting her suffer so much on the streets. But being taken care of by the nuns soothed her spirit. She felt cared for and it made her feel maybe God did still love her.
As she combed her hair, the tears rolled down her face as she thought of her past but there was also a warmth in her heart. God had not abandoned her. She had warm food, a roof over her head and a comfortable bed to sleep in. Those were blessings, she knew. Also one of the nuns had given her a small simple necklace with a cross to wear. The nuns had made them and gave them to all of the young women in the house.
May held onto her necklace and looked at the cross. She understood it was Jesus who loved her and had saved her. She knew that He was looking after her. May prayed to Him and repented of her sins and asked Jesus into her heart as she held onto the cross necklace. She felt safe in Jesus' arms.
