Marilyn had experienced alot of abuse in her life. She had been raped as a child and in her young adult life she had been raped multiple times as well. Marilyn developed lesbian desires because she had been abused so much by men. Marilyn knew that she would never get married, because she did not want to but she often thought about women as a partner. One day a beautiful woman named Shawna met Marilyn in a park and shared Gods word with Marilyn. Marilyn began to cry because she never felt loved by God before. She later realized God did not want her to become a lesbian but she could not stop her desires, and that God accepted her anyway. Marilyn knew God was calling her to a life of celibacy. Marilyn became a follower of Jesus Christ and though she was someone with same sex attraction she dedicated herself to God still.
