Suicide a sin?

I was thinking of taking sueside as the last way out since i have this sickness wich i cannot do anything and there is no treatment for it , there is something wrong in my brain. everyday i wake up to a hell and i live thorugh it second by second.. nothing is like it should be , i want to die , is sueside a sin? doesnt god take mercy on me because my life has no meaning like this? doesnt he understand my pain and why i took my life?

Yes, suicide is a sin. But my main thought right now is that you should be talking to a minister or a doctor about this, rather than posting it on a discussion board leaving it open for strangers to give you whatever advice they deem appropriate (which may or may not be good). I can only urge you to seek help from a professional before you decide to do anything.

Do not say that your life has no meaning, because you do not know what tomorrow will bring. Ask yourself instead, moment by moment, what is God's will for your life. It may be that for a moment in time God's will for you is simply to go on. It may be that He has some greater plan for you that you cannot see right now. But I can say for certain that it is NOT God's will that you should take your life.

Please, please, seek real help for this. Look to Jesus for hope. Pray about this, and be open to what God has for you. Do not close yourself off by listening to Satan's lies. It is Satan telling you that your life has no meaning and that there is no hope for you.

Sin or not it's a bad idea! If you don't like your life change it for the better!
Better yet get involved in changing the lives of others. It is hard to stay depressed when you are lifting others up!

hey i have something for you to think about this could help you feel better.. First trusting God is the answer to all your problems God luvs u and wants u to trust Him no matter what.... Think about this.... what you have to suffer in your flesh is nothing compared to eternity in hell

i'm mentally ill (poor health too)... it's hard on my brain and thinking and family at times. i learn to embrace the blessings that i do have. and i didn't move this when you posted it, because alot of us that need care (even if it's not intense), have thought about suicide at one point.
i think because we get confused and needy and with that thought being out there; it just gets thought about.

I believe it is a sin. I don't believe it's unforgiveable. If you are a saved, born again person, then you will still go to Heaven. There have been many Godly Christian people who in depression or sickness committed suicide.

I felt suicidal last night, so i know what it feels like.

my dad killed himself. I believe he is in heaven, as he believed in Jesus and accepted him into his life. Yes I think suicide is a sin because Jesus tells us "do not kill". This would include killing ourselves.
