Stavesacre - Speakeasy
Since these guys are rock enough for me, they're probably too much for her. They're good though. I think the OP wants to listen to them and get converted!

All of JC's albums are great. I'd recommend listening to "Stay" first. He also has a worship album called "Carried Me". His newest album that came out last November is called "Restored".

J is kind of pop rock. He has a few songs that stick out as being more rock, but the majority of his stuff leans more toward pop.

Stavesacre WAS an awesome band. Their last 2 albums were hideous.

The self-titled is the only one I have, and I found Witch Hunt (the opening track, I believe) to be the only satisfying cut, but it was a very satisfying one. Allmusic.com classified it as straight-up Emo, which I thought was kind of interesting.

Anyhow, as for music, you might want to check out Joy Electric. You might think it's wierd but it's actually perfectly normal.

I really want to suggest John Reuben!, but I'm pretty sure you're not looking for hip-hop. Anyway his latest album is a bit more rock so.. oh well! But he's great - I like him, and I don't even like hip-hop!
Other than Reuben.. how about MercyMe. They have some great worship type songs (guitar-driven stuff though). There's Rebecca St. James too if you haven't checked her out yet. And LaRue .. also worth checking.

Yesterday's alternative is today's emo, apparently.
