I had this dream at the weekend, I feel a bit unsettled by it.
The three places mentioned are all places I've considered moving to but only one, Huntly, would have been by choice, Mossbank and Yell are very remote:-
My husband and I were at school dropping off or picking up our son. We were speaking to a woman we know. We heard a noise and as we looked towards our house, the hill behind it started to collapse, soil tumbled down, there was an explosion of water, and the whole of our cul-de-sac moved several feet to the north. My house, garden and path were still standing, but the ones on either side were obliterated. I just stared at it for ages.
We went to speak to a housing officer. I was alone with her in the car. Have we got a house to go to? I asked. In Huntly She replied. Huntly? I asked, very surprised. It was either a choice of Mossbank, Yell, or Huntly, and we thought youd prefer Huntly.
I told my husband, but he didnt want to move to Huntly because he had a job and because of the church. I said, I think God might be telling us its time to move. That night we stayed in the old house. Wed just gone to pick up stuff but stayed. I woke up in the morning to find water running down the walls and the hill was pushing up against the bedroom window and had six inches of snow on it. I realised that we had to get out now. I got a bag and put a change of clothes in it for us all. I also got my mobile phone.
As we went down the stairs I saw the curtains were closed on the window half way down the stairs, usually we never close these curtains. I thought that my husband was either was trying to stop me being scared or trying to hide the truth, because he didnt want to go to Huntly.
We had to climb out of the front door, leaving everything else behind. I told my husband I was going to Huntly even if he wasnt. Our car at the bottom of the road was filled with water in the boot and the feet places but we piled in anyway. The dream ended as I opened the door of a new house, in Huntly.
