  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

A bit of a vein thread, but oh well. Was just thinking how every once and a while someone will point out something that is outdated and I'm emberresed but later thankful they said something. Because it's hard to stay in the loop when your not in high school anymore. I always vowed not to be the polyester outdated type when I got older, anyone else?

Not that I care so much, but it's easier for me today to connect with youth.

When I entered college in 1994 (just gotten out of the ARmy and pretty much everyone exits with the style they entered) I had the same 80's permed hairstyle, irridescent pink lipstick and clothes. It took a bit of revamping little by little.

In 1998 I worked at a camp that had a bunch of Jersey and NY kids, they taught me right away that black hose weren't worn anymore, and asked if I was going to a funeral.

In 1999 I learned my application of make-up was outdated and that blush wasn't applied the same way as the 80's.

Last year I learned how plastic thick glasses are considered attractive and young.

hahahahaha!!!

yes darling, I am laughing at myself!! I look around and see all of the late 70's coming back.. and I think I am having flashbacks. Then, I find myself saying.."The styles these days"".. I am just reconciling myself to the fact that ear gauging is here to stay, so get used to seeing big holes in the ears. I am a nerd, I just haven't had anyone brave enough to let me know I look like a granny. I'll fight it until I am forced to give in. I allready have to wear jeans that show a plumbers crack because I can't find jeans that cover the whole backside when you bend over. So I try not to bend over too much and wear a long, loose shirt. ughh. I need a makeover!!

I don't think total makeovers are good godismyabba, well unless one feels it's necessary I guess. Maybe I need one...hmm. Otherwise I think gradual changes are good.

I love bell bottoms and turtlenecks, so hopefully I'll still be able to find some kind of pants with flare 10 years from now that still is in style.

Yeah some of the styles I don't care for, ear plugs, hip huggers, and tatoos. Although friendship wise I do have friends that do.
