  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

the one post was asking about the prayer cloth, well it mad me think. What about those famous TV pastors who when they go on trips, get the most exspensive hotels and spent the peoples money. I'm sorry but this is just eating me. WE give to the good and then the good never receive.Come on,what are they doing? My own mother in law who is not saved told me she saw an inside thing on Benny Hinn(she called him Binn)and she said he refused to be interviewed for this because people were saying that he is taking money and using it for this sort of purpose.I know tha t we are the last days, man seems closer than we really think.God is coming soon:holy:

Great post Evie! I agree. I think it's awful how some have abused the power of God and resorted to manipulative tactics for their own gain. The only thing I can say as encouraging news is that we will ALL be held accountable one day for the kind of life we led here on earth. That prayer cloth gives Christianity a very bad name because people will associate manipulation to Christianity and that is clearly an offense against God. If you're angry about this, can you imagine how God must feel about it? Just imagine the wrath of God with regard to all the injustices and sin in the world right now. I try not to focus too much of my energies on negative people and things because it will only drag my spirits down. I could work myself into a angry ball of fire if I think about all the outrageous stuff happening in the world. So I choose to just let God deal with all the sin out there because God is in control.

I'll be honest with you--when I received a prayer rug in the mail a few months ago, I said to my husband, "Wow, this is unbelievable. These church people are taking advantage of people by trying to take credit for God answering prayers and God-given miracles. It also sends the wrong message to folks that a prayer rug is needed for God to hear our prayers...when we all know that is false and that believing in Christ is a personal relationship between God and His children and has nothing to do with a prayer rug. It is misleading people and will hurt the credibility Christianity in general.

Evie, your heart is in the right place. We need more people like you who stand for what's right in this crazy world. God bless you!

Based on Matthew 13:31-43 the outward appearance (what you see on TV) of the kingdom of the heavens.is negative and not normal. It does not reflect the inward reality of the kingdom, the Church. In this section of the word there are at least three negative items.

1) The abnormal tree where birds (demons 13:4 ) live.
2) The leaven, unclean evil teachings, I Cor 5:6,8 Matt 16:6, 11-12, that the woman hid in the meal.
3) The tares.

The tree is not normal because the mustard seed should not yeild a tree. It is not after its own kind.
Also rather than the pure unleavened bread of Christ, ( I Cor 5:7,8) the whole of Christendom has been leavened.
And then there are the tares,
25, 2 A tare is a kind of darnel, a weed resembling wheat. Its seeds are poisonous and can cause sleepiness, nausea, convulsions, and even death. The sprout and leaves of tares look the same as those of wheat. It is impossible to distinguish wheat from tares until the fruit is produced. The fruit of the wheat is golden yellow, but that of the tares is black
Recovery Version, Matthew 13:25 note 2.

Mythbuster, I completely disagree with those interpretations of those parables, but that is for another thread and another forum.

As for Hinn, here is an interesting article with two links at the bottom, one from each side of the story. Discernment is needed, but I believe it is clear, once the light is shown on Hinn's doings, what is going on with his 'ministry'. The article is on Crosswalk.com and is from Agape press.
