Students in recovery

Are there any students here in recovery? How the heck do you focus on your schoolwork w/ ED's voice screaming in your head??

I dropped out to go to rehab three yrs ago and I'm finally returning in April. I got my textbooks early to study beforehand but am instead relapsing all day & i TRY to study but i dont even know what im reading cuz I can not concentrate. I have the read a paragraph - something I normally understand easily - five times before I get it. Im worried I wont succeed when I start school.

Any students here?

I have been a student before. When I had to study my mind would wander all over the place about mostly negative thoughts. One day I said "I don't have time for this!" I meant I had to shift my mind to focus on studies or I might not have passed. I hope this helps.

Ya, I'm a student. I'm in University, and a lot of times people think that University is gonna be great and all, but it's definitely got it's hard parts!!!!!!!
Especially when you've got that 'voice' as you say... the eating problem bugging and nagging at you all the time, again, like you said.

I've never been, but I've been to counselling, and it's helped for a few months. But now I'm struggling again. Praying more .. the more I let God come in, the better it gets, but that's only when I choose Him, and that's gotta increase to every single moment of the day!!!! I'm not there yet, by far!!!

Do you have any friends or family who understand what you're going through?
