Have had a HUGE fight with my brother (who I just reunited with only 2 years ago also he is the one that helped me find the lord)3 weeks ago had a suicide attempt and lost 9 and half years of sobriety. To top it all off my faith is in trouble. I seem to be coming out of it slowly although I am still quite depressed. Knowing there are others going through simular struggles is a little reassuring. Prayers and some encourement would help thanks everyone

The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.
If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.
If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Father God, Please be with this man who loves you and his brother. Help him to understand in a new way today just how much you love him and how bottomless your forgiveness is. That forgiveness was a finished work on the cross. That your love for us iw without limits. Lord, help him to heal this rift with his brother. Give them a healthier relationship after this trial. Help him to stnad strong in his weakness after his slip in sobreity. Strenthen his ability in this time of weakness and help him to restablish his sobriety and understand his faith in you better through thes times. Lord, minister to him and comfort him during this time of depression, help him to see your hand at work in his life. Renew his hope. In Jesus Name, Amen

Honey, Eberybody with bi polar has one time or another thought about suiside, We somehow find a way to justify our thoughts.
I stop those thoughts because to me GOD gave me life on earth and who am I to take away something from HIM that HE gave me.
I see that as the biggest sin in the world!!
That is the only thing that helps me when I think like that.

I also forgot to say that when we get pushed away from GOD and our learnings, that is the devil doing his dirty deeds.
