I want to post a question to see if anyone else has been or is in my situation.

I find my self being totally unfulfilled in my job, and have felt this way since i graduated college in summer of 2000. At one point after 3 months of working i almost took up a music minister position at the church I was attending cause i felt the need to minister in some way. I find myself being fulfilled when I am working in the church and doing stuff for God. MY life is no excitement, no fulfilment, no joy, and no peace working in the business realm.

I have spent time praying and more and more the idea keeps coming about going to bible colelge and then from there who knows. Here is the situation though. I would need to sell what I have my car and my fiance would have to sell hers for us to both attend a bible college, but that is just for one year. So I guess my question is how many have gone on to bible college not knowing how they would survive but relying on God to provide?

Not quite the same thing...but close!

My husband and I, in two years' time:

1. Took a paycut by my switching to a less stressful FT job so that I could concentrate more on ministry;

2. Made the commitment to pay for the last three courses I would need to get licensed as a pastor (If you have any college credit, I would encourage you to send your transcripts to the school you're considering - you may be further along than you think...I know I was!!)

3. Took a leap of faith and decided to have my husband work from home full time after losing his FT job.

Our finances are horrible; we are running our 1997 Cavalier (with almost 200,000 miles on it!) into the ground; and sometimes we don't know how we're going to pay all of our bills.

But you know what? We have never been happier, because we are in the will of God! I know that ache to be ministering - for 3 1/2 years after I got married, I felt it. And it didn't go away until I finally answered God's call on my life.

Go for it! It will not be easy - I'm not going to lie to you - but if God has placed a calling on your heart, you will not be at peace until you asnwer it!!

Look, just be careful, OK? It's very dangerous going into the ministry in order to find excitement, relieve boredom or get fulfilment. Are you quite sure that God is calling you into this?

If he is, then he will definitely provide for your material needs.
