  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Please pray for me. I'm having a strong struggle right now with Satan, and I can't seem to break out of it. Each time I resolve to break free, I get crushed again. I read the Bible, I pray, but I'm still shot down. What am I doing wrong? What can I do right? Nothing seems to help...

Please pray for me.

Heavenly Father, please help Tissue to be strong during this conflict and in the future. May his heart be open that he may receive the Spirit of your truth, and be comforted. Help his to find peace in his heart, and renew his faith that he may persevere, and be hopeful. May your Spirit guide him that his needs will be met, and that he may feel your presence. INJC.

i spent years thinking that i was never doing enough for God. one day, i realized i was doing everything in my power, to get God to love me. if i didn't feel like he was giving me the love that i deserved, or that he couldn't see how hard i was trying, then i felt very angry and bitter and resentful. then i realized, that gone was the deal and belief of: God loves me. so because he loves me, i will do everything in my power to please him, because i don't want to disappoint him.. and i felt such relief.
i still kept beating myself up though... and then i realized, yet further, that i am not understanding God grace.. i do action action action, when it's not about that. i am his child. i don't have to perform for him. i will never have it 100 percent right. and that the biggest thing is working a little at a time.

but i can't seem to get over the feeling of shame.. sigh.

i am praying for you. Dear God...

please let him not have the same thorn as i deal with, Dear God. the thorn of thinking that i will never have done enough, thought enough, prayed enough, fought enough, ran enough. please be with tissue. Show him your love. take away his view of how things should be, and substitute it w/a glimpse of how you see things. take him in your arms, and hold him. give this warrior strength and courage. show him where you put his armor, so he may fight again, and never give in to those wrongs.
please show him the difference between his feelings and actions, and teach him how not to beat himself up.

Be with and strengthen each of Your children when they feel that Satan is getting the upper hand. Help them to remember that the battle was already won on Calvary 2000 years ago. Help us FATHER to let go of our cares and worries and allow You to take care of us. Without You LORD, we are nothing and with You we are all we need to be. Fill us O LORD with thy HOLY SPIRIT that we might be guided into thy righteous ways & live as You would have us to. Help us up LORD when we stumble and lead us on in. Let thy peace and comfort abide within us and help us to be a blessing unto all You bring into our lives and in turn be blessed by them.
In JESUS Precious Name we pray
