The word swinging came to my mind too. I'm not upset at my husband for bringing it up, and I had played years ago before I met my husband and before I was a Christian. He actually seemed a little bugged by this fact.

I am thinking that doing this may open a dangerous door for both of our relationships.

Okay, now I'm seeing what is going on here.

Your husband is bugged by the fact that you played strip poker with some others before you met him and before you became a Christian.

In his "warped" mind he is now thinking that it would make things equal, if he got a turn to see another woman stripping in front of him!

This might be a thrill at first, but it will likely harm your marriage eventually, if you go through with this idea.

Hmmm... echoes of Chasing Amy (a movie about a guy who falls in love with a lesbian with a rather comprehensive sexual past). Something the movie points out, which I think IS a good point... if a person has been searching for something in all the wrong places and finally finds it, they're NOT going to want to go back there. Even if their spouse/partner feels left out or 'lesser' because they didn't do all the wrong places stuff too.

Umm... lemme explain it a bit better if I can. Boy meets girl, boy realises girl has a lot more 'experience' than him, boy feels inferior. Girl, on the other hand, realises how empty all those experiences were and can't understand why on earth boy would want to go there. Boy feels as though he's missed out and doesn't realise the harm they've done the girl he loves, and doesn't understand why she won't do them with HIM, someone she loves, when she'd do it with someone she didn't love.

Moral of the story: boy needs to find his self-esteem in God, and enjoy what he's got right now... and think about how the 'extra experience' might harm what he's got rather than enhance it.

Maybe you could expess to hubby (I hate that word 'hubby', it sounds weierd, but I keep useing it) how sorry you are that you previously engaged in strip poker and any negative side effects it caused in the past, and how that you wanna be only for him for his secret viewing pleasure.
