  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

We just rented it and I LOVE THIS MOVIE! I think it's definitely going to have to go on my list of favorites.

The romance was charming...what a sweet story! My absolute favorite part was when he brought Anna "flowers"...boys, take some notes. ;)

Yes, it was very enjoyable. An interesting, different sort of idea. Will Ferrell is always watchable, even playing it straight.
It was a nice switch for him. He's a charming actor...quirky and lovable.

LOL, I can't wait to see Blades of Glory, lol.

There were a few parts of the movie I could have lived without, but it was my favorite Will movie next to Elf... Kicking and Screaming follows those. Blades of Glory I have not seen, but honestly it seems like more of the Anchorman/Old School type humor which I did not like... though Anchorman did have a few laugh out loud moments, mostly because of Steve Carell haha :)

The movie is better on second and third viewings... however, overall, it borrows heavily from The Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy in it's tone, and the mentions of wrist watches. And his house almost getting destroyed... so that kind of turned me off some.

That, and I had read a story about an author meeting her characters... so even THAT aspect of this movie seemed a bit stale.

But yeah. I'd still have to say it's better than most drivel that Hollywood cranks out.
