Strange

Now, I know that coming back from a long day at work can create illusions in your mind whilst you're driving. But just how wierd is this? As I was waiting at the traffic lights, this black BMW just zooms past my left hand side by using half the pavement!!!!
I've never ever seen anyone in such a hurry so much so that their nutty mind convinces them to use the pavement to speed past stationary cars.

Which made me think, what strange things have the good people of CF spotted on the UK road?
There must be a few surely, even though I've once lived in a different country, for 10 years, that regularly hosted elephants on the roads....

Well. I was driving on a really narrow road last year with a wide pavement next to it, and some boy racer drove onto the pavement - car left the road completely - to overtake me. Really fast. Madness. That's all I can remember off the top of my head.

I thought driving schools taught their pupils that pavements are off limits to vehicles!

theres nothing that important or urgent that you need to drive like that for unless hes in a hurry to get to his own funeral

the thing that makes me angry is the fact that he might take someone else with him, selfish man

nothing bad that you have all mentioned, though im not sure this is a hazard:

I once saw (a very long time ago) a very little old granny drive a car and she couldnt see over the dash board - she would need a periscope or something.

Also an old lady (a few weeks back) crashed into my Dad's car which became a write off, she then proceeded to drive off quickly! We have insurance though and have got a nice new car (well second hand and four years old).

funny that though - i saw them (people dressed up as them) running through the streets of Hull one night with one of them in a shopping trolley

cant remember anything really bad off-hand although i do remember needing to be in uni for a set time and the bus was on time (shock!) so i thought id be alright. then, on a very long main road in front of the bus was this guy in a wheelchair (looked like he was in training for an event). he was in our way for so long it was ridculous and i thought (whilst getting stressed about the situation) thats a bit strange! I ended up being late and disrupting the lecture!

I remember in Limrick there is a street where they made it a two lane street by painting a dividing line down the middle of it.

I was driving home one night, we were just coming to the end of a dual carriageway, were the road narrows, and a car came flying past and had to go up onto the verge to get past me. But as soon as he was past he got to the 30 sign and slowed down to a crawl anyway.
