Strange dream about Apostle Paul

Hi, I’m new to the forum and have come here to post a dream I had that has confused me.

I was having a conversation with Apostle Paul in heaven and all I remember is that he said that he wrote 42 epistles but only 20 survived. Only 13 (14 if you count Hebrews) are in the Bible today.

I’ve also realised how symbolic those numbers are in Christianity, particularly 42, there are 42 stations of the exodus, 42 generations in the Gospel of Matthew's genealogy of Jesus, 42 boys are mauled for mocking Elisha for his baldness and the Beast Will have dominion over earth for 42 months.

No, it’s really the first time I’ve ever really thought of number meaning was after the dream when I was pondering it

I really cannot explain that coincidence, but I know that when I have some dream that is especially vivid and seems to be strangely meaningful, I have to think hard on the reason why that particular information appeared in the dream.

Often it's something I had just about totally forgotten and it was from some days earlier as well as being relatively unimportant at the time. Occasionally the facts are re-arranged in the dream, too.

But as for the number 42, I cannot say. We might say that there are all sorts of other numbers that can be made to look just as significant in Scripture, but if so, that still doesn't explain your own dream adequately except that we need to guard against thinking we've been selected to be one of the few to whom either Satan or God himself communicated by way of dreams.

I'm with Albion on this... it's likely you've had many things in the back of your mind and they just came out in a jumbled up dream...

We've all done the same from time to time...

I say this specifically because we have the number of surviving texts that were written by the Apostle Paul, and the number you remember from your dream that you said you were told is clearly incorrect.

Things that are from God are clear of meaning and accurate, not riddles to be solved filled with untruths.

Therefore, just a dream. We all have them.. No need to look for meaning in that. God bless you.
