I'm trying to fill in some blanks and document the whole line. I know that Alexander Stephens came to the Pennsylvania Colony in about 1746. He begat Andrew Stephens, who begat John. Here's where it gets fuzzy. My Grandfather said that his father's name was Green. He didn't remember his Grandfother's name, but he named off all the children of Andrew Stephens except John. He said that his Grandfather was the youngest, and that would have been John.
My Grandfather's name was Loren Stephens. He was born in Kentucky after his parents moved out of Georgia. Shortly after his birth, they moved to Southern Illinois. I have no idea what county in Kentucky my Grandfather was born in. This information is not on his marriage license. I'm trying to get a copy of his Death Certificate.
My Father is a little too old and frail to provide this information. I'm trying to contact his youngest sisters to see if they know.
I really want to get this geneology done for my brothers kids. They never had the chance to know many of the older folks.
