Nope; thats what the Old Testament god you love so much does, i.e. Murder babies. Is that techno-jargon for murdering unborn babies?
Are you an ex-Mormon?And, like AV's many repetitions of favourite scenarios, I'll mention one of my favourites - the masses of billions of less-than-gnat-sized embryonic souls flying around Heaven, creatures that have never had a human experience, hadn't more than a neural cell or two, if any, certainly never had a thought or an emotion...
You left a word out.Is that techno-jargon for murdering unborn babies?Nope; that’s what the Old Testament god you love so much does, i.e. Murder babies.
Are you an ex-Mormon?
Yes --- I don't know if they call it "embryonic souls" though, but they believe souls are awaiting corporeal bodies to be created. The embryonic souls issue is one no Christian has ever addressed when I brought it up. Do the Mormons actually have a stated tenet regarding this?

I think the Heaven's Gate outfit did too.
I'm truly sorry to hear that.Heaven's Gate, another sad cult story. AV, I may argue with Christians, but I loathe cults, having lost several friends to various cults over the years. Mind you, one of them was a bizarre Christian cult - Army of God, I think.
Would you restate please --- I didn't get that "wrt" part.So what do you believe happens with embryos wrt to an afterlife?
We teach that we are made in God's likeness and image; and just like God is three in one, we too are three in one: body, soul, and spirit."With regard to".
What do you think/believe happens to embryos that die in terms of heaven, the afterlife.
I'm not sure --- they're used interchangeably in the Scripture at times; but as I understand it - (and this could be wrong) - the spirit is an angel assigned to a person at conception.Thank you for answering.
One further question: what do you believe is the difference between the spirit and the soul? Is the spirit entirely of God and the soul the essential human? (Just trying to get that straight - there's no point in assuming what people believe, IMO; much better to ask and find out.)
Matthew 3:1 said:In those days came John the Baptist, preaching in the wilderness of Judaea,
When Elijah was taken up to Heaven, his spirit was reassigned to John the Baptist. That's why John dressed and acted the way he did, and some even mistook him for Elijah.Matthew 3:4 said:And the same John had his raiment of camel's hair, and a leathern girdle about his loins; and his meat was locusts and wild honey.
You're welcome ---Thanks again, AV.
It's not reincarnation --- reincarnation is the return of the soul.I had thought John the Baptist/Elijah was supposed to be the rare event, though, but you seem to be saying that 'body reassignment' (or reincarnation) is more universal than that.
LOLWe'd better quit this soon, though, or we'll be 'reassigned' to GA, or worse, Theology, where I'm a non-person. ;-D
